Getting pregnant is not easy when your body is working against you, let alone when you’re not sure where to start getting on the same page with your system. Before jumping head-first into expensive and lengthy infertility treatments, build these four steps into your Summer Routine to start getting yourself ready today!
1. Eat blood building foods
Eating iron-rich foods like cooked greens or spinach salad is a great way to get your system tuned up in now time, By building your blood, you’re fortifying your system to take on carrying and supporting a child.
2. Get your beauty sleep
We all know getting the full eight hours helps with, well, everything. When you’re trying to conceive eight hours of sleep a night is critical to your body recovering from each day and tuning itself up for the next. If you’re having a tough time falling asleep earlier enough to get your eight hours, try herbal tea, a bath with epsom salts, melatonin or deep, measured breathing to get your self to sleep faster.
3. Keep it warm in the morning
Digestion can take a big toll on the body, and cold foods are no help here. Before 11 AM, you need to give your body time to wake up, and shocking the body with iced coffee or cold smoothies is not the right way to start the day. Sticking to warm foods and drinks allows your system to wakeup at the right pace, and work smarter – not harder.
4. When cravings strike, stick to sorbet
While processed sugars are not a good addition to any diet, we know that cravings happen. When they do, it’s important to stay away from dairy. While ice cream is so tasty and can really hit the pot, putting dairy in the body can block up your system and cause more harm than good. Getting your sweets from sources such as fresh fruit is really the best way to go, but there’s always some room for guilty pleasures!
As always, listen to your body and don’t stress! The best way to keep your system happy is to listen to it, and to respect its needs. If you are interested in fertility treatments or have any questions, feel free to contact me.
